The Philadelphia 76ers face a very weird offseason that could decide their long-term future going forward. Who can they land in free agency?

After losing in the second round of the playoffs, the Sixers are heading to a very interesting offseason. They have already fired Doc Rivers and James Harden might leave this summer forcing this team to be on the clock for Joel Embiid. Even if they run it back next season, this will be a very unusual season for Philly.

From key role players to an All-NBA talent in James Harden, the Sixers have many decisions this off-season that could decide their long-term future. How Philly handles this may decide whether they can prevent Embiid from requesting a trade long-term.

Must-have free agents for the Philadelphia 76ers: 3. Paul Reed

Paul Reed is currently the 76ers’ backup center. He is a key bench player who has been filling up the minutes where Embiid has to sit very nicely. He is currently a free agent. The Sixers will have every chance to re-sign him this off-season due to the fact that he is a restricted free agent. This allows the 76ers to match any offer that a team gives to Reed.

As Shams Charania reported, teams will have some interest in the backup big man. This may make matching an offer a little hard to do. Still, I would be shocked if the 76ers were not able to keep Reed. In the worst-case scenario, it may take the full veteran min for Philly to be able to keep him, but in almost any case, the 76ers should definitely match an offer.
