Best NBA prop bets today for Lakers vs. Clippers (Does Russell Westbrook get revenge?)

The No. 6 seed is up for grabs in the Western Conference on Wednesday, as the Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers enter this contest with the same record.

The Lakers are in the second night of a back-to-backs, listing LeBron James and Anthony Davis as game-time decisions for tonight’s game.

How does that affect how we wager in the prop market? Here are my two favorite plays for tonight:

Lakers vs. Clippers best NBA prop bets

  • Jarred Vanderbilt OVER 5.5 Rebounds
  • Russell Westbrook OVER 8.5 Assists

Jarred Vanderbilt OVER 5.5 Rebounds

I’m buying low on Jarred Vanderbilt, who is averaging 7.6 rebounds per game, in a game where Davis (game-time decision) could end up sitting out.

Vanderbilt has picked up six or more boards in 12 of his 23 games with the Lakers, and he’s averaging 6.9 boards per game with the team despite playing a lot alongside AD.

I’d also expect Vandebilt to play a sizable role in this game, as he may be the team’s best defensive option on Kawhi Leonard.

Russell Westbrook OVER 8.5 Assists

This is the ultimate revenge game spot for Russell Westbrook, who has been a playmaking machine since Paul George went down with a knee injury.

Russ has picked up nine or more assists in four straight games, and he’s averaging 7.8 assists per game since joining the Clippers.

The Lakers like to play uptempo, so I expect both sides to have plenty of possessions. As long as Russ has the ball in his hands as much as he has lately, he should push double-digit dimes tonight.

Game odds refresh periodically and are subject to change.
