NBA best bets today (Predictions for Devin Booker, Mavericks-Pelicans and player prop parlay)

The hot streak in my NBA best bets continued on Tuesday night, going 2-1 to send our record since Sunday to 11-2 and move us to +15.01 units on the season.

When you’re hot, you’re hot, and I’m trying to keep the momentum going with the seven-game slate on Wednesday night.

There are two spread picks on underdogs that I adore, plus a Devin Booker player prop against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Four plays, seven games, and tons of stars in the picks. Let’s break it down:

NBA best bets record to date

NBA best bets today

  • New Orleans Pelicans +1 (-110) vs. Dallas Mavericks
  • Oklahoma City Thunder +13.5 (-110) vs. Phoenix Suns
  • Devin Booker 37.5 Points, Rebounds and Assists (-120)
  • Player prop parlay (+110)

New Orleans Pelicans +1 (-110) vs. Dallas Mavericks

This line is all over the place, jumping from +2.5 to +1 to back to +2.5, but regardless, I like the New Orleans Pelicans to cover against the Dallas Mavericks.

There are several trends in this game that favori New Orleans:

  • Mavs are 4-10 against the spread as road favorites
  • Dallas is 2-7-1 ATS on the second night of a back-to-back
  • New Orleans is 6-4 ATS as a home underdog

The Pelicans have also been a solid team at home this season (20-11 straight up) compared to Dallas’ road record of 12-19. The Mavs played a tightly-contested game with the Utah Jazz on Tuesday, and I think New Orleans is live for an upset.

Take the points with the Pels at home.

Oklahoma City Thunder +13.5 (-110) vs. Phoenix Suns

Yes, the Oklahoma City Thunder are down star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and rookie Jalen Williams, but this is too many points to give one of my favorite teams in the betting market this season.

The Thunder are the best team in the NBA as a road underdog this season, going 17-6-3 against the spread, and they kept four games in a row without SGA (including one against Phoenix) inside 10 points.

Kevin Durant, Devin Booker and the Phoenix Suns have looked good, but their role players haven’t stepped up as much the last two games as one would like. I think that leaves the door open for OKC to at least hang around on Wednesday.

Devin Booker 37.5 Points, Rebounds and Assists (-120)

Devin Booker is FEASTING in three games with Kevin Durant in the lineup.

He’s soared past his PRA total in each of those games, and now he gets a Thunder team that likes to play at a fast pace.

The Suns are letting Booker initiate some more offense with Durant in the fold, and that should allow him to push around seven assists (he has 23 in three games with KD) which gives him a solid cushion to reach this prop even without a 30-point scoring game.

Player prop parlay (+110)

  • Cam Reddish 1+ 3-Pointers Made
  • Jerami Grant 1+ 3-Pointers Made
  • Jayson Tatum 2+ 3-Pointers Made
  • Kevin Durant 1+ 3-Pointers Made
  • Kevin Durant 20+ Points

This may seem like a loaded parlay, but we’re looking at guys who are very consistent at hitting the 3-point shot, and Kevin Durant to score 20 for the fourth time in four games in a Suns uniform.

Reddish has made a 3 in each of his games with the Blazers, and Grant has only gone four games (out of 60) without a 3 this season.

As for the Tatum leg, he has struggled with his shot lately but is taking a ton of shots from deep (9.4 per game) on the season. Tatum is also averaging over three made shots from deep per game. I like him to get back on track against a Portland defense that ranks 27th in the NBA.

Game odds refresh periodically and are subject to change.
