Is Steph Curry playing tonight? Warriors injury update vs Lakers

The Warriors take on the Lakers on Sunday. Will Steph Curry and others be able to go for Golden State?

Golden State Warriors guard Steph Curry left a game against the Dallas Mavericks on February 4th with a knee injury and has missed 11 straight games. Curry banged knees with another player and suffered some ligament damage.

In his absence, the Warriors have held it down, going 7-4, winning their most recent four straight.

Is Steph Curry playing tonight?

According to Anthony Slater, the Golden State Warriors are expected to get Stephen Curry and Andre Iguodala back on Sunday night against the Lakers.

Most recently, here’s what head coach Steve Kerr said about the star guard’s injury:

“He looks good. He’s been working really hard,” Kerr said, via NBC Sports. “I think within days of the injury, he was on the bike. It was impressive just watching him on the bike, I mean how hard he goes. He’s really amazing when it comes to his conditioning level and his commitment to keeping it high. He’s had good chances these last few days to get up and down … We’ll re-evaluate probably in the next couple of days.”

It’s great news for the Warriors who current sit at fifth in the Western Conference and five games behind the second seed.

On the Lakers side, they’re dealing with an unfortunate LeBron James injury that may be the nail in the coffin on their season. They desperately need to win games but sit at 11th in the conference now and are 5-5 in their last 10 games.

Steph Curry stats

This season, Steph Curry is averaging 29.4 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 6.4 assists per game. His scoring is up from last year when the Warriors beat the Celtics to take home yet another NBA Finals title.
