Best NBA prop bets today for Nets vs. Celtics (How to bet on Jaylen Brown)

The Boston Celtics are looking for their 11th straight win over the Brooklyn Nets, and the new-look Nets are struggling as of late, losing eight of their last 10 games.

Jaylen Brown is back in the lineup after missing a game against New York for personal reasons, and that leads me to a player prop that I love for him in this game.

Let’s break down three props to bet for this primetime matchup:

Nets vs. Celtics best NBA prop bets

  • Jaylen Brown OVER 2.5 Assists
  • Derrick White OVER 11.5 Points
  • Nicolas Claxton OVER 8.5 Rebounds

Jaylen Brown OVER 2.5 Assists

Over his last 10 games, Brown has picked up at least three assists in nine of them, and I think he does again on Friday against the Nets.

Brooklyn is just 26th in the league in defensive rating over the last 10 games, so Boston’s offense should thrive in this game.

On the season, Brown is averaging 3.2 assists per game, and he’s upped that number to 3.4 per game over his last 10.

Derrick White OVER 11.5 Points

Derrick White’s role took a step back against the Cleveland Cavaliers, attempting just five shots, but he could see extended time if the Celtics blow out the Nets tonight as 11-point favorites.

White is averaging 11.8 points per game on the season, clearing this line in 13 of his last 15 games. Even with several key players back for Boston since White’s time in the starting lineup, I think he gets a lot of time with the Celtics set as heavy favorites.

Nicolas Claxton OVER 8.5 Rebounds

Nicolas Claxton is averaging 9.0 rebounds per game on the season, and he’s cleared this prop in four of his last eight games.

Boston has a smaller frontcourt, and while Claxton failed to go over this number in the blowout loss the last time these teams played, he picked up nine and 14 rebounds in the two other matchups this season.

I’ll take a shot on Clax to get his season average in boards tonight.

Game odds refresh periodically and are subject to change.
