NBA best bets today (76ers’ perimeter defense key vs. Mavericks)

We have a short slate in the NBA tonight, with only four games to watch and bet on.

That doesn’t mean we aren’t going to place a few wagers and try to make some money.

I have four bets in the Association locked in for tonight, including two player props. Let’s dive into them.

NBA picks for March 2nd

  • 76ers +4 vs. Mavericks
  • Myles Turnover OVER 0.5 steals vs. Spurs
  • Kawhi Leonard OVER 5.5 rebounds vs. Warriors

76ers +4 vs. Mavericks

No team shoots from shots from beyond the arc than the Dallas Mavericks, with 48.7% of their shots coming from three point range. That could be the difference maker tonight, as they take on a 76ers team that has a fantastic perimeter defense.

Philadelphia ranks third in opponent three-point field goal percentage, keeping teams to shooting 34.4% from three point range.

Even with the status of Joel Embiid up in the air, I’ll take a shot on the 76ers as underdog tonight.

Myles Turnover OVER 0.5 steals vs. Spurs

The San Antonio Spurs give up 15.5 turnovers per game and their opponents rack up 8.3 steals per game against them, the second most in the NBA.

Turner has recorded a steal in his last two games, and is in a great spot to record at least one more tonight against the Spurs team that loves to cough it up.

Kawhi Leonard OVER 5.5 rebounds vs. Warriors

The Warriors are good at a lot of things, but rebounding isn’t one of them. They rank 22nd in the NBA in rebounding rate, grabbing just 49.3% of available boards.

Meanwhile, Kawhi Leonard is averaging 6.1 rebounds per game this season, so all we need is for him to reach his season average in rebounding and we’ll cash this bet. Leonard has gone over this total in three of his last five games, and he has a great matchup to do it again tonight.

Odds refresh periodically and are subject to change.
