NBA best bets today (Predictions for Jordan Poole, Lauri Markkanen and moneyline parlay)

A 10-game Tuesday slate in the NBA calls for several plays, including a rare moneyline parlay for the people!

LeBron James’ injury has set the Los Angeles Lakers’ back against the Memphis Grizzlies, who are a leg in the moneyline parlay, but I have a different team for my favorite spread bet, as well as two player props on Tuesday.

Let’s dive into the action:

NBA best bets record to date

NBA best bets today

  • Lauri Markkanen UNDER 30.5 Points (-125)
  • Jordan Poole OVER 32.5 Points, Rebounds and Assists (-115)
  • Indiana Pacers +9 (-110) vs. Dallas Mavericks
  • 3-Team Moneyline Parlay (+107)

Lauri Markkanen UNDER 30.5 Points (-125)

Lauri Markkanen scored 27 points against the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday night, but that came in a game where the Utah Jazz had to make a second half comeback.

The Spurs have lost 16 straight, and this game could get out of hand early, which would limit Markkanen’s playing time. The All-Star forward has cleared 30.5 points just once in his last 10 games, and he’s averaging 25.2 points per game.

Markkanen has been terrific this season, but he’s shot the ball just 16.6 times per game this season. Unless he gets hot early, I don’t see the Jazz needing a monster game from Markkanen to handle this tanking Spurs team.

Jordan Poole OVER 32.5 Points, Rebounds and Assists (-115)

Jordan Poole has been a volatile player to bet in the prop market, but we’re seeing some discount on his numbers after some poor shooting games. Poole is just 13-for-46 in three games since the All-Star break, but I’m betting on a bounce-back game tonight.

Poole and the Golden State Warriors take on the Portland Trail Blazers, a team that he dropped 38 points and seven dimes on prior to the break.

Stephen Curry and Andrew Wiggins are both still out, which means Poole will see a major role on offense once again.

This season, Poole is averaging 26.0 points, 5.0 assists and 2.7 rebounds in 23 games without Curry in the lineup, clearing this line of 32.5. This should be a fast-paced game (the first matchup finished with 247 points), so I’ll trust Poole to find his shot on Tuesday.

Indiana Pacers +9 (-110) vs. Dallas Mavericks

Too. Many. Points.
The Indiana Pacers have not played well recently, falling to the No. 12 seed in the East, but they are undervalued against the Dallas Mavericks, who blew a huge lead on Sunday to the Lakers.

The Pacers are losing their games as road dogs by an average of 7.1 points per game, and I think they hang around as nine-point dogs to the No. 23 defense in the NBA.

Dallas is one of the worst teams ATS all season, and it has gone 9-17-2 against the spread as a home favorite. I’ll gladly take the points in this game.

3-Team Moneyline Parlay (+107)

  • Memphis Grizzlies Moneyline (-380) vs. Los Angeles Lakers
  • Milwaukee Bucks Moneyline (-250) vs. Brooklyn Nets
  • Denver Nuggets Moneyline (-580) vs. Houston Rockets

Grizzlies moneyline: Memphis is in a favorable spot with the Lakers down LeBron James and D’Angelo Russell, and the Grizz are 25-5 at home this season. They also are elite as home favorites, going 16-11-1 ATS. I just don’t think the Lakers have enough to win this game.

Bucks moneyline: The Bucks have won 14 straight games, and they are 16-3 this season with Khris Middleton in the lineup. The Nets are going to have a hard time on offense keeping up with Giannis Antetokounmpo returning tonight.

Nuggets moneyline: Denver is looking to hand Houston its 10th straight loss. The difference in this game? The Nuggets are No. 2 in offensive rating and the Rockets are dead last. Denver should win this game as a double-digit road favorite.

Game odds refresh periodically and are subject to change.
