Best NBA prop bets today for Celtics vs. Pistons (Back Bojan Bogdanovic)

The Boston Celtics are massive favorites on Monday night against the lowly Detroit Pistons, but Jaylen Brown (illness) is listed as questionable for tonight’s game.

That may create some value in the prop betting market, especially for Brown’s co-star, Jayson Tatum, if he ends up sitting.

Here are two prop bets to consider for Monday’s matchup:

Celtics vs. Pistons best NBA prop bets today

  • Jayson Tatum OVER 13.5 Rebounds and Assists
  • Bojan Bogdanovic OVER 21.5 Points

Jayson Tatum OVER 13.5 Rebounds and Assists

Jayson Tatum has narrowly missed this prop in back-to-back games, but he’s got a good chance to get back on track against a bad Detroit defense.

The Pistons are also in the bottom half in the NBA in rebounding percentage, which should help Tatum get back to pushing double-digit boards like he has for most of 2023.

If Brown sits, that opens up more minutes for Tatum and more rebounds (Brown is averaging 7.1 rebounds per night).

Over his last 14 games, Tatum is averaging 10.3 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game. This prop is a bit of a value at just 13.5.

Bojan Bogdanovic OVER 21.5 Points

If the Pistons have any chance of keeping up with the Celtics, veteran Bojan Bogdanovic is going to have to score the ball at a high level on Monday night.

Bogdanovic is averaging 21.4 points per game this season, and he’s been solid as of late, clearing this prop in six of his last nine games.

Going back to Dec. 1 of last year, Bogdanovic is averaging 22.3 points per game in 29 contests while shooting 48.1 percent from the field on 15.6 shots attempts. I’d love to see him get a few more looks tonight, but if Detroit does keep this game close, Bogdanovic is going to have his hands all over it.
