NBA best bets today (Predictions for Dejounte Murray, Thunder-Pacers and Knicks parlay)

There’s some rare air in today’s NBA best bets column, as I’ve put together a little parlay for the people in the New York Knicks-Washington Wizards game as one of today’s best bets.

It’s been a terrific 2022-23 season, as we’re up over 11 units, and I’m looking to add to that with a spread pick, player prop and the aforementioned parlay on Wednesday night.

After going 1-1 on Tuesday (our Kyrie Irving pick was void since he didn’t play), let’s get back on the profitable side tonight:

NBA best bets record to date

NBA best bets today

  • Dejounte Murray OVER 18.5 Points (-110)
  • Oklahoma City Thunder -3.5 (-115) vs. Indiana Pacers
  • New York Knicks Same-Game Parlay (+100)

Dejounte Murray OVER 18.5 Points (-110)

Atlanta Hawks @ Dallas Mavericks

Dejounte Murray burned us earlier this month, but I’m jumping back on him tonight against the Dallas Mavericks in primetime.

This line is way too low for Murray, who is averaging 20.4 points per game this season and has cleared 18.5 points in six of his last 10 games.

Dallas has been struggling on defense as of late, ranking 29th in defensive rating over its last 10 games.

Atlanta runs through Trae Young, but Murray’s usage has been intriguing over the last several games. He’s taken 16 or more shots in 10 straight games, and he’s averaging 18.0 attempts per game.

I think that volume helps Murray hit the OVER on this prop tonight.

Oklahoma City Thunder -3.5 (-115) vs. Indiana Pacers

Indiana Pacers

IND

23-22, 25-19-1 ATS

Oklahoma City Thunder

OKC

OKC

21-23, 28-15-1 ATS

The Oklahoma City Thunder are the best team in the NBA against the spread this season, and they face the league’s No. 2 ATS team in the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday night.

The Pacers are down star point guard Tyrese Haliburton, and they’ve lost four straight games heading into this matchup.

The Thunder are doing the exact opposite, winning three straight to jump into the No. 10 seed in the Western Conference. OKC is 5-3 against the spread as a home favorite this season while the Pacers are just 9-9 ATS as road dogs.

After covering in six straight games, mainly as underdogs, I’m willing to back the Thunder as favorites against a shorthanded Pacers squad.

New York Knicks Same-Game Parlay (+100)

  • Immanuel Quickley 18+ Points, Rebounds and Assists
  • Monte Morris 1+ 3-Pointers Made

This one is for the people, as some of my loyal friends and readers have been parlaying some of these picks, so why not give one too y’all tonight?

We’re starting with Knicks guard Immanuel Quickley, who has been on a scoring rampage, posting double-digit points in 15 straight games.

IQ has put up 18+ points, rebounds and assists in 13 of the 15 games over that stretch, including a 18-point, four-rebound, two-assist game against the Wizards last week. I love him at this reduced number on Wednesday, which brings us to our second leg…

Monte Morris to hit a 3-pointer!

This one is pretty straightforward, as Morris has registered at least one made 3 in eight straight games. He didn’t play against the Knicks last week, but he made 3-of-4 shots from deep in his last game.

On the season, Morris has made a three pointer in 32 of his 38 games. To get us to even money, I love pairing this leg with Quickley’s PRA.
