LeBron James, Los Angeles Lakers

NBA Last Two Minute Report confirms LeBron wrong for ref complaints

LeBron James was big mad about a no-call in the closing seconds against the Philadelphia 76ers. The NBA Last Two Minute report confirmed he was wrong.

The Los Angeles Lakers dropped a tough game against the Philadelphia 76ers, a 113-112 loss on Sunday night. LeBron had 35 points, 10 assists and 8 rebounds and they had a chance to win in the final seconds. But Russell Westbrook couldn’t get a shot or a call when driving on the final possession.

Westbrook certainly thought a call should have been made and was blunt about it in the postgame locker room.

LeBron James felt the same but took his complaints to Twitter instead of beat reporters.

Was LeBron James right about Russell Westbrook getting fouled?

No. The call wasn’t made in the moment and the NBA’s Last Two Minute Report for the game confirmed that it was correct no call and described the contact as “marginal.”

The NBA has made it official but it’s probably not going to change the minds of LeBron James, Russell Westbrook or anyone else in the Los Angeles Lakers locker room. And as for the fans, if you think the original no-call was part of a leaguewide conspiracy against the Lakers then there’s no reason to think this confirmation isn’t just part of the cover-up.
