Best NBA prop bets today (C.J. McCollum stays hot against Indiana)

The BetSided team has narrowed its focus to one game in today’s best NBA prop picks, as injuries have opened up some value in the market.

Brandon Ingram (toe, out), Herb Jones (health and safety protocols, out) and Zion Williams (doubtful, conditioning) are all expected to sit out the New Orleans Pelicans’ game against the Indiana Pacers, moving prop lines in the process.

Here’s how you can back two Pelicans on Monday night:

  • C.J. McCollum OVER 27.5 Points and Assists
  • Jonas Valanciunas UNDER 30.5 Points, Rebounds and Assists

C.J. McCollum OVER 27.5 Points and Assists

C.J. McCollum has been straight-up balling over his last four games, averaging 31.5 points in the process!

Now, he faces a Pacers defense that has improved of late, but still rank 23rd in opponent fast break points/game, and bottom 10 in the NBA in opponent three point shooting percentage.

There was an initial expectation that Zion Williamson would return to the lineup, but he’s now being reported as doubtful for Monday night. That’s big news for McCollum who has been lights out in his absence.

Jonas Valanciunas UNDER 30.5 Points, Rebounds and Assists

I hate to fade someone in the Christmas season, but that’s exactly what we’re going to do with Pelicans center Jonas Valanciunas on Monday night.

On the season, the Pelicans big man is averaging just 13.7 points, 9.3 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game. He’s falling way short of this line, and I don’t think his offense makes a major jump even with Ingram and Williamson out, as he failed to clear this in the last two games without them.

This is too big of a jump for me to take, especially with a tough frontcourt featuring Myles Turner matching up with him defensively. – Peter Dewey
