What do you say we close out the weekend with a strong night betting in the NBA?
Yours truly has been hot as of late, hitting on five of my last six picks to really improve this season’s record. We did miss on the Boston Celtics last night, but I have three plays that I love for the action on Sunday.
The New Orleans Pelicans and Phoenix Suns should have a heated matchup after Friday’s contest ended with this Zion Williamson dunk:

I grabbed New Orleans at -3 before Devin Booker was ruled out with a hamstring injury, but I still like the Pelicans at -4 with Booker out.
New Orleans won Friday’s matchup between these two teams, and the Phoenix Suns have lost three straight games heading into this matchup.
The concern I have for Phoenix comes on the offensive end, as Booker is by far the team’s best offensive player. The Suns lost on Friday despite shooting 22-for-44 from beyond the arc, and I can’t see them repeating that performance with Booker out.
Zion Williamson the Pelicans have won six straight, and I think they keep the momentum going at home.
Sacramento Kings-New York Knicks UNDER 231.5 (-110)
The New York Knicks have re-committed on the defensive end with a change to their rotation, moving from a bottom five defensive rating to No. 14 in the NBA over their last five games.
The Knicks have gone under this total in five straight games, and now they may not have to face De’Aaron Fox (questionable) with the Sacramento Kings in town.
The Kings are an elite offense so far this season, but New York’s addition of Miles McBride to the rotation has changed the team’s outlook this season. The Knicks have won three straight, allowing fewer than 90 points twice.
I think this total is a tad too high between these two teams with the Knicks taking a step back in pace (now 13th in the NBA) and improving on defense.
Lonnie Walker IV OVER 12.5 Points (-120)
Lonnie Walker IV fell short of this line in back-to-back games last week, but he rebounded with a 15-point game against the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday night.
Walker is averaging 16.0 points per game this season for the Los Angeles Lakers, and he has a favorable matchup against the league’s No. 29 defense in the Detroit Pistons on Sunday.
The last time these teams played, they combined for 249 points, so there should be plenty of chances for Walker in the Lakers’ fast-paced offense.
Walker is taking 12.7 shots per game and has gone OVER this number in 16 of 22 games this season. Take advantage of this low line on Sunday.
