Warriors celebrate: Everything you missed from Golden State’s ring night

The Golden State Warriors celebrated their 2021-22 NBA Championship on Tuesday’s opening night getting their rings and hanging the championship banner.

Some four months after Stephen Curry captured his fourth career NBA Championship with the Golden State Warriors, the team helped to tip off the 2022-23 season with a matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers. But before the ball went in the air, there was business to take care of — namely Golden State getting their rings and hanging the banner to celebrate their title win.

Of course, there was an odd air hanging over the moment given the offseason drama in the final weeks leading up to the season opener, namely the altercation between Draymond Green and Jordan Poole that led to the former being away from the team for some time.

But on Tuesday night at the Chase Center, there seemed to be no bad blood as it was all smiles and even more bling for the Warriors.

Warriors celebration: Best moments, highlights from ring night

First, we have to take a look at the rings. While they follow the mold of all championship rings across pro sports in being a bit over-the-top, you can’t deny that these bad boys are absolutely clean and very fitting of the Bay Area.

But then we also had the team getting their rings and, man, even the guys who have been in this spot before seemed to be just overcome with joy in the moment when they got their newest addition to the jewelry collection.

Naturally, the team had Curry come out and talk to the fans and it was an oddly poignant moment as he showed love to the faithful followers of the franchise.

Golden State was still hype and took a photo in front of the banner as it was being raised into the rafters.

But as always, Klay Thompson might’ve delivered the funniest moment of the evening as he made sure to count all four of his rings and did so with his trademark hilarious demeanor.

It was one for the history books at the Chase Center. But soon after, the real work began: Starting the road to ring No. 5.
