Nets executive sends message to Kyrie Irving with recent Twitter activity

Brooklyn Nets owner Joe Tsai’s recent Twitter activity seemingly sends a message to Kyrie Irving.

The Brooklyn Nets’ super team may be on the verge of ending, as the team and Kyrie Irving are reportedly at an impasse regarding a new deal. On the day of the NBA Draft, reports indicated that Irving has a list of potential sign-and-trade destinations if he does not reach a deal with the Nets on a new deal.

With this, we have now reached the stage of looking at an executive’s Twitter activity. Joe Tsai, owner of the Nets, liked a tweet that read “team and culture > one player.”

Nets executive seemingly sends message to Kyrie Irving

Does that mean it’s a direct shot at Irving? Who knows. But Twitter is sure going to dissect it.

The report from ESPN senior NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski said that Irving had the Los Angeles Lakers, LA Clippers, New York Knicks, Miami Heat, Philadelphia 76ers and Dallas Mavericks as destinations in a sign-and-trade deal. But, Wojnarowski notes that neither of those teams have the cap space to make the move without Brooklyn’s help, and that some of those teams are not interested in acquiring Irving.

Irving is coming off of a season where he played just 29 games total, missing the majority of home contests due to being unvaccinated and not meeting the requirement of New York City’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate. In those contests, Irving averaged 27.4 points, 5.8 assists and 4.4 rebounds while shooting 46.9-percent from the field.

With the new league year set to begin shortly, you best believe that everyone is going to keep an eye on what the Nets do with Irving, whether that is keeping the star or moving on from him.
