Celtics fans having epic meltdown after Game 6 loss to Warriors

The Boston Celtics’ strong first quarter disappeared on a ridiculous run by the Golden State Warriors, who took Game 6 to win the NBA Finals.

The Boston Celtics were in unenviable territory — down 3-2 in the NBA Finals to the Golden State Warriors. They returned to TD Garden looking to take a win to force Game 7.

Things looked promising in the first half, but the Celtics were brought back to reality on a ridiculous 21-0 run by the Warriors. Even after a brief comeback attempt in the second half, it simply was not enough, as they lost 103-90 to bring the Finals to an end.

Some Celtics fans were not exactly ecstatic about how the team played in Game 6 to bring their season to an end.

Even after that run by Golden State, Boston was able to pull within 10 points entering the fourth quarter. In fact, the Celtics went on a 16-4 run to end the third quarter. But, it was too little, too late.

Jaylen Brown led the way for the Celtics, as he scored 34 points while shooting 12-for-23 from the field and 5-for-11 from behind the three-point line. Brown also tallied seven rebounds, three assists and one steal.

Al Horford, competing in his first NBA Finals, notched a double-double by recording 19 points (6-for-8 from field) and 14 rebounds.

Tatum scored 13 points while making 6-of-18 from the field in 40 minutes of playing time.

Boston went on a revenge tour, eliminating all of the teams that ended their previous three seasons in one run. But, they just could not match up with full-strength Warriors team. Boston fans will hope that they can build off of this season to make another run to the Finals next season, with a different result.
