Latest Miami Heat injury update could change everything in Game 4

The Miami Heat is missing one of their key shooters in Game 4, and without Tyler Herro, the Boston Celtics have a greater chance to even the score.

Earlier in the Eastern Conference Finals series between the Miami Heat and the Boston Celtics, it was Boston who was reeling from difficult injury news.

In Game 1, the Celtics languished without Marcus Smart and Al Horford, but by Game 2, both Boston players had returned. The Celtics won that game 127-102.

In Game 4, it’s Miami who is facing a difficult injury loss with the impending absence of Tyler Herro.

Miami Heat will miss Tyler Herro in a key Game 4 matchup

With Herro out, a beat-up Miami crew is still warming up with the intent to play, especially with a key man down in a pivotal game.

With each back-and-forth in this contested series, and with the players in and out with injury and illness, it seems that Boston would be primed to take advantage of Herro’s absence.

But it should be noted that the Heat was going through it in Game 3, as Jimmy Butler was absent for the second half of the game and Herro struggled to play. Still, this didn’t stop the Heat from winning Game 3 despite the difficulties.

Although Herro is a necessary part of the Heat’s offense, certain statistics have highlighted his struggles throughout the series against the Celtics.

As one Twitter user observed, perhaps the rest could allow Herro to heal and hopefully return refreshed for Game 5. At the very least, it would be ideal if Herro could come back by Game 7 if it comes to that.

Although his recent threes haven’t gone as expected, Herro is still a force on the court, which makes his absence troubling.

Although there’s not a clear timeline for his return, the team has disclosed that Herro is out with a groin injury for Game 4.
