This time, it was the Phoenix Suns who faced the consequences of past taunts, with Minnesota Timberwolves shooter Anthony Edwards recalling their confidence earlier in the season.
“I remember when we were playing Phoenix, they were talking so much s***, telling us we need to make the playoffs, we ain’t gonna make the playoffs” Edwards said. “We’re out of the playoffs, but y’all… this is a disgrace, bruh. Like y’all got 30 points in the third quarter, this is terrible.”
At the time of Edwards’ recording, the score was 75-36 with 5:40 left in the third quarter. The Suns still lost 123-90, but the final score doesn’t indicate how truly disappointing the Suns were in their final playoff game of the season.

Ant-Man wasn’t the only onlooker who shamed the Suns for their performance. NBA fans from all over Twitter came to revel in the loss, with Barstool Sports crediting Devin Booker’s petty steal as the reason Luka Dončić transformed the series.
Game 7 marked an embarrassing low for the renowned Chris Paul III, who finished Sunday’s contest with a measly 10 points to his name. The prolific point guard ended the night with “10 points (4-8 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT), one rebound, four assists and one steal across 31 minutes,” per RotoWire.
The Suns meltdown proves that bad games come for every team, and so does all the boasting against former opponents.
