Kevin Durant should stay off Twitter after Skip Bayless, NBA Twitter roasted him for awful Game 2 vs. Celtics

Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant had a miserable performance in Game 2 against the Celtics and NBA Twitter won’t let him live it down.

The Nets fell down 0-2 in their NBA playoff series with the Celtics on Wednesday after Kevin Durant and company struggled badly in the second half of Game 2 and blew a 17-point lead.

Durant’s performance in particular drew the attention of NBA Twitter after he missed all 10 of his shots taken after the break.

Pretty much everyone had something to say about the dud of a showing.

NBA Twitter roasted Kevin Durant for Game 2 performance

Durant wasn’t the only one who struggled. Kyrie Irving shot 31 percent from the field in the game.

However, Durant definitely gave people many more reasons to criticize his contributions. Along with his terrible second-half shooting performance, he committed 6 turnovers and had five personal fouls. While he scored 27 points, 18 came via the free-throw line because he couldn’t buy a bucket from the field.

The Celtics seemed to get under Durant’s skin at every turn, using physical defense to keep him out of rhythm. For their efforts, they came away with a 114-107 victory.

The series will head to Brooklyn with Boston holding a 2-0 advantage and Durant needing to get his team back on track after two drastically disappointing games to start the series. Game 1 was a frenetic contest that ended with a Celtics buzzer-beater. As heartbreaking as a loss like that can be, it’s certainly preferable to one like Wednesday’s.
