Props to both dads for adding some fun layers to the evening.

And shoutout to the Grizzlies fan who could be heard saying, “I’d be smiling too if the refs handed me the game.”

While Morant will be rightly disappointed by the outcome of the game, he gave his father plenty of reasons to be proud with 32 points, four rebounds, eight assists and a steal. He was 16-of-20 from the free-throw line.

As for Towns, he showed out with 29 points, 13 rebounds, three assists and two blocks in the winning effort. He also gave his dad the right to simply point to the scoreboard if he needed extra emphasis to any of his trash talk.

The two players and their fathers can go at it again on Tuesday when Game 2 tips off in Memphis.
