LeBron James All-Star Game intro has everyone convinced he’s coming back to Cleveland

LeBron James got a hero’s welcome in Cleveland when he was introduced at the 2022 NBA All-Star Game.

The 2022 NBA All-Star Game took place in Cleveland, Ohio, and was a homecoming for Akron-native LeBron James. In the lead-up to the game, James spoke with The Athletic and said that the doors not closed on potentially returning to play with the Cavaliers again. That no doubt had Cavs fans pumped about the potential fo the NBA’s biggest star playing in Cleveland again.

James was introduced last at the NBA All-Star Game on Sunday, and he received a thunderous ovation from the fans inside Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse.

Based off the reaction from the fans, there were some on Twitter who believed James playing in his third tenure with the Cavaliers was a lock.

NBA Twitter convinced LeBron James is heading back to Cleveland

James spent the majority of his NBA career with the Cavaliers, as he was selected with the first-overall pick in the NBA Draft. He spent his first seven seasons with the team before infamously going on live television to reveal that he was signing a free agent contract with the Miami Heat. After four seasons and two NBA Championship wins, James made his return to Cleveland in the summer of 2014.

The Cavaliers made it to the NBA Finals every single season of James’ second stint. But in 2016, James helped lead the Cavaliers to their first ever NBA Championship by defeating the powerhouse Golden State Warriors in seven games.

Besides not ruling out a return to Cleveland, James revealed that for his final NBA season, he wants to team up with his oldest son, Bronny.

With the great reception he received at the All-Star Game, some believe that a James return to the Cavaliers is a possibility.
