This Ja Morant block doesn’t seem possible by the laws of physics

Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant pulled off a two-handed block against the Lakers that appeared to defy the laws of physics.

Ja Morant might have rockets in his shoes and go-go-gadget arms.

That’s the only way to explain the ridiculous two-handed block he managed against the Lakers on Sunday night.

The Grizzlies star flew to deny a shot from Avery Bradley and produced an astounding highlight while doing it.

That might not have been the highest Morant jumped on Sunday either. He looked like he was on a trampoline for a dunk later in the game.

NBA Twitter was fired up over Ja Morant’s hops

Twitter was all over Morant with stunned praise.

Morant and the Grizzlies overwhelmed the Lakers on their home floor in the second quarter to take a 65-52 lead into halftime. Their lead grew as big as 24 points in the second half.

The No. 2 overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft has gotten better every season in the league. He was the Rookie of the Year for 2019-20, improved most of his statistical categories in his second year and has continued to come into his own in Year 3.

This season, Morant is averaging 25 points per game while shooting 49.1 percent from the field and 39 percent from beyond the arc. Both of those are career highs. He is averaging 5.8 rebounds, 6.6 assists and 1.5 steals as well.

From the highlights to the production, Morant is worth the price of admission or that cable bill right now.
