Watch: Jimmy Butler and Karl-Anthony Towns get into verbal confrontation

Jimmy Butler ripped Karl-Anthony Towns to shreds with his latest smack-talking episode.

Jimmy Butler made Karl-Anthony Towns the latest victim of his one-of-a-kind smack talk.

As Butler’s Miami Heat went on to beat Towns’ lowly Minnesota Timberwolves 121-112 on Friday night, the always outspoken Butler went after the Timberwolves’ supposed best player. Was this just merely smack talk? Yes, but it was a tad graphic in nature and really paints a picture of how far the doormat Timberwolves are away from being a high-quality team like the Heat.

Here is what Butler said to Towns in between action during Friday night’s game. Earmuffs, kids!

Jimmy Butler destroys Karl-Anthony Towns with his epic smack talk

With their win over the Timberwolves on Friday, the Heat improve to 36-31 on the year. The Heat are currently the No. 6 seed in the Eastern Conference standings, and only half a game back of the Atlanta Hawks for the Southeast Division crown. As for Minnesota, the Timberwolves have fallen to 20-47 on the year. Only the Houston Rockets are worse than them in the Western Conference.

While it may have been another meaningless game in another meaningless season for the Timberwolves, Miami is trying to avoid the play-in tournament by any means possible. The Heat are only a game up on the Boston Celtics for the last spot in the top six in the East. Miami may not win the Eastern Conference again, but Butler’s evisceration of Towns certainly speaks volumes.

As long as the Heat keep winning, expect Butler to talk trash to almost anyone on the hardwood.
