Sacramento Kings rookie guard Tyrese Haliburton left Sunday’s game against the Dallas Mavericks with a left knee injury.
The Sacramento Kings entered Sunday night looking to play spoiler against the Dallas Mavericks. While the Kings made it a competitive game, the tone became much more serious after rookie guard Tyrese Haliburton went down on the court with an injury.
In the third quarter, Haliburton rushed up-court following a pass, but tweaked his left knee at the half-court line and fell in pain. Haliburton was attended to by training staff and went to the locker room, where he was eventually ruled out for the remainder of the game.

According to ESPN NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski, Haliburton is set to undergo an MRI on Monday morning to determine the severity, but there is “initial optimism” the rookie avoided a serious injury.
Prior to his exit, Haliburton scored 11 points (four-for-eight from field, two-for-four from three-point line), dished out five assists, grabbed two rebounds and recorded one steal in 23 minutes of playing time. Haliburton is averaging 13.0 points, 5.3 assists and 3.0 rebounds while shooting 47.1-percent from the field and 40.8-percent from the three-point line.
The Kings went on to defeat the Mavericks 111-99.
