Zion Williamson breaks down high school tape of him getting guarded by 5-foot-6 try-hard

A 5-foot-6 kid tried to guard New Orleans Pelicans star Zion Williamson when they were in high school and Zion just broke down the viral film.

Zion Williamson is having what most would consider a breakout season in the NBA. Although the New Orleans Pelicans are still 11th in the Western Conference with a 15-19 record, they’ve seen vast improvements on the offensive end of the floor, much of it starting with Williamson. He’s improved individually and his uptick in aggression with the ball in his hands has the Pelicans as one of the toughest teams to guard as of late.

Still, while Zion gives us new highlight reels every night, plenty of us remember the first viral video we saw of Zion in high school. Now the NBA star is narrating the events of the legendary video from his perspective.

Zion Williamson hilariously breaks down old viral high school game film

Bryson Bishop entered a high school game in February 2017 tasked with defending future NBA superstar Zion Williamson. Williamson was then playing for the Spartanburg Day Academy in South Carolina and already one of the most talked-about high school prospects ever.

None of that mattered to Bishop, who was 5-foot-6-inches at the time compared to Williamson’s Gigantor stature. Still, Bishop had the crowd’s support for showing so much heart and confidence in defending the now  Pelicans superstar.

Watch as Zion hilariously gives his side of the story to the viral video.

We hope Bryson Bishop is doing okay wherever he is. Zion certainly walked away from this intense matchup just fine.
