NBA Twitter in awe as LeBron James drops 46 on his former team

NBA Twitter shared their collective excitement after LeBron James took it upon himself to take down his former team Monday night.

LeBron James was back in Cleveland on Monday in what turned out to be a competitive game up until the end. His Los Angeles Lakers actually trailed the Cleveland Cavaliers entering the fourth quarter.

But Cavs fans have seen this story play out countless times. James ended up taking it upon himself to will his Lakers to a victory and personally outscored the Cavs 21-19 in the fourth quarter to take home the 115-108 win. NBA Twitter reacted to the vintage performance.

LeBron does it again

Playing in Cleveland clearly still means a lot to James. He took over in the fourth quarter and finished the game with 46 points on an insane 19-of-26 shooting from the field and 7-of-11 from 3-point range.

This was a vintage LeBron game, and it just so happened to come in Cleveland. The young Cavs team fought hard, but LeBron is inevitable, and they found that out the hard way in the fourth quarter.

Monday was another rough night for Anthony Davis. He only went 5-for-16 from the floor for 17 points. But carrying the load is nothing new for James, and it has honestly become the theme throughout his career. Dropping 46 and hitting shots from the logo is just another night for him.

The good news for fans in Cleveland is they saw their Cavs hang tough against the defending champions. However, there is still some pain about seeing James go off in his former home while wearing a Lakers jersey. At this point, all anyone can do is appreciate him while he is still playing at such a high level.
