NBA, Washington Wizards

Bradley Beal’s totally innocent tweet has NBA fans begging him to join their team

No, there’s no teeth to Bradley Beal trade rumors yet, but NBA fans can dream.

After James Harden was traded to the Brooklyn Nets as part of a four-team mega-deal, NBA fans wondered who would be the next start-caliber player dealt. While there’s plenty of choices, the most popular may be Washington Wizards star Bradley Beal.

Beal hasn’t publicly stated he wants out of Washington, nor is there any reason to think the Wizards wish to break up the combo of Beal and Russell Westbrook. Yet, the Wizards have been stuck in mediocrity for quite some time now. So, naturally, rumors are starting to pick up, however unfounded they are.

NBA Twitter is a wild place, and at times the players contribute

On the surface, Beal’s tweet is just a reaction to the news of the day. Heck, I’d be lying if I claimed not to have reacted the same way. But basketball fans love to play matchmaker on social media, and some suggested Beal should leave the friendly confines of DC to join a more poignant contender.

Could Beal take his talents to South Beach?

Forming a Big 3 in LA with the LeBron James and Anthony Davis looks awfully fun on paper.

Who needs financial flexibility?

Boston has the picks and young talent to make such a deal happen.

Worst photoshop ever?

Well, if it works on trade machine…

Joining the Clippers would seriously rival the Lakers for LA supremacy.

You get the picture. As persuasive as these amateur photoshops are, Beal isn’t going anywhere right now. But we appreciate the creativity.
