LeBron James has awesome reaction to LaMelo Ball’s historic performance

LeBron James had no choice but to show LaMelo Ball with some love on Saturday after he made NBA history. 

What a night it turned out to be for Charlotte Hornets rookie standout LaMelo Ball. Not only did he help his team come away with a close win over the Atlanta Hawks, but he made NBA history in the process.

That’s because Ball finished with 22 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists, becoming the youngest player ever to record a triple-double. He was certainly fired up after breaking that record and things were only made better for him when Los Angeles Lakers stud LeBron James took to social media to show him some love for getting the job done.

Ball was so happy with what James had to say, he himself had to thank the future Hall of Famer on his Instagram account as well. It truly was an impressive performance for the youngster, who seems to be shutting up more and more of his haters as the season progresses.

On the year, Ball is averaging 12.8 points, 6.3 rebounds and 5.9 assists per game. At only 19 years old, you figured he’d have some bumps throughout his first year, but Charlotte is already starting to see a return on its investment of the No. 3 overall pick they used on him.

Following the Saturday night victory, Charlotte is now 5-5 on the season. While the team isn’t expected to push for an NBA Finals title in 2020-21, fans are most definitely excited about the potential of this team.

There’s a bright future for the Hornets and Ball is going to be a star to watch for years to come. This likely won’t be the last time he gets love from James either.
