It seems that Jrue Holiday isn’t in the New Orleans Pelicans’ long-term plans. After failing to crack the playoff field despite being invited to the Orlando bubble, newly-appointed executive David Griffin has shifted towards rebuilding the roster around star rookie Zion Williamson.
Griffin already hired a new head coach in Stan Van Gundy. Now his focus is on filling the holes on the roster, including shipping off Holiday’s $52 million contract (with a $27 million player option for the 2021-22 season).
