LeBron James leads Lakers back to NBA Finals: Twitter showered The King with all the love

LeBron James and Anthony Davis led the Los Angeles Lakers back to the NBA Finals for the first time in a decade and Twitter showered the duo with so much love.

The Los Angeles Lakers are back in the NBA Finals for the first time since 2010 and LeBron James is back after a one-year absence. The Lakers eliminated the Denver Nuggets in Game 5 with a 117-107 win.

This marks the 10th time LeBron’s teams have played in the NBA Finals where he’s 3-5 but the Lakers should be favored either the Miami Heat or Boston Celtics. The Heat leads their series 3-2 with LeBron’s old team looking to close out the Celtics on Sunday night.

LeBron recorded a triple-double, his 27th in the postseason, and was as clutch as could be with nine straight points at one point in the closing minutes to deliver the Lakers past the Nuggets. He’s the second Laker to have 35-plus points, 15-plus rebounds and 10-plus assists, joining James Worthy who accomplished the feat in 1988. LeBron finished with 38 points, 16 of which came in the fourth quarter, 16 rebounds and 10 assists.

Davis had 27 points and five rebounds.
