Aaron Gordon had some NSFW words for Kyle Lowry after hard foul (video)

Aaron Gordon and Kyle Lowry had words for each other after a hard foul.

During Wednesday’s game between the Toronto Raptors and Orlando Magic, we saw some of the first signs of bubble tension during this NBA restart on the Walt Disney Resort campus.

Early in the third quarter, with Toronto up 14, Magic forward Aaron Gordon saw an opening and attacked the rim off the dribble.

Raptors point guard Kyle Lowry came over to help, and with no hope of contesting Gordon’s flight to the rim, he took a swipe at Gordon’s arm, dragging him down in what wound up being a dangerous, hard foul:

Lowry was issued a Flagrant 1, but not before Gordon popped back up and had some words for the Raptors guard to let him know what he thought of that cheap shot. The two teams had to be separated, and as Gordon left the floor, he told Lowry, “You’re a b***h.”

Despite the bad foul, Lowry did have an exceptionally funny response, telling Gordon, “836 is my room number.”

Kyle Lowry was in the wrong, but his retort was still pretty great

Being isolated in a bubble with 21 other teams, all of which you’re competing against, it’s only natural to see tensions boil over like this. That’s especially true for two teams like the Raptors and Magic, who played each other in the playoffs last season and could very well meet in the first round again this year.

However, even with that Grade-A response, Lowry’s definitely in the wrong here. He wasn’t even going for the ball on that foul, and a play like that, yanking a guy’s arm down while he’s already in midair, could’ve ended up a lot worse.

Thankfully Gordon was okay, which is why we can ultimately laugh at their exchange, especially the little guy’s response letting him know where he could find him if he wanted to file a complaint.
