As the 2020 NBA Trade Deadline creeps closer, here’s a look at five veterans currently buried within their team’s rotations that could help a contender.

The NBA Trade Deadline is just around the corner, which means there’s never been a better time to scour every team’s roster to try and figure out which players could be on the move in the near future.

Every season, the league is divided into buyers and sellers, with the contenders and fringe playoff teams looking to improve and the likely lottery teams aiming to sell high on their useful contributors.

This season is no different, and the 2020 NBA Trade Deadline is fast approaching. This is the time for aspiring championship teams to make their move for established players who can help get them over the hump. Those usually come in the form of veterans that don’t require a major asset in return or a massive salary that breaks up the core of the roster.

With Feb. 6 less than a month away, here’s a look at five such veterans who are buried in the rotation with their current teams, but could make all the difference come playoff time if they’re moved to a legitimate contender.

Honorable Mentions: Vince Carter, Thabo Sefolosha, Troy DanielsJames Johnson, Raul Neto, Kyle O’Quinn, Anthony Tolliver, Marco Belinelli, Evan Turner
