Fox nets 19 in Kings’ loss after 17-game absence

Sacramento Kings guard De’Aaron Fox, who missed 17 games because of a sprained left ankle, returned to action Tuesday night against the Charlotte Hornets.

Fox, who came off the bench, finished with a team-high 19 points, 8 assists and 2 rebounds in 30 minutes.

Fox was averaging 18.2 points, 7.0 assists and 4.0 rebounds through nine games before suffering a Grade 3 sprain during practice on Nov. 11.

The surging Kings had won four of their past five games before dropping Tuesday’s contest 110-102.
