Drake explains how the Raptors won NBA Finals with heart

Drake gave the media some soundbites after the Toronto Raptors won the 2019 NBA Finals, and there will surely be more to come.

Drake approached a hoard of sports media members after the Toronto Raptors made franchise history and became the 2019 NBA champions. The rapper promptly explained to the media how his team won the day.

“Kawhi Leonard, bringing a chip to the city, I want my chips with the dip, that’s all I know,” Aubrey Drake Graham told the writers. “I don’t want my chips plain. I want my chips with the dip. So bring them dips. We did what we had to do. We did this off of heart. We did this off of love. We willed this into existence. We manifested this.”

He was pretty amped as you can see in the video below, and rightfully so. He called the moment poetic and that the Warriors dynasty was over. He also offered his prayers for the health of Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson.

The Raptors’ global brand ambassador won’t likely forget this moment any time soon. You can also bet that he’ll be mentioning it on his next album.

Golden State Warriors star point guard Stephen Curry showed real class by congratulating the rapper after the game.

Kawhi Leonard was the MVP this time around, though. “The Claw” showed in this series why he was considered to be the best two-way player in the game before getting injured. This will be an intriguing summer for Leonard. He will be showered with enthusiasm by everyone across the entire country of Canada, but he’ll also be a free agent in July.

It’s hard to imagine someone leaving that type of love. He is from California, however, and it’s long been rumored that the Los Angeles Clippers are a possible destination for him.

As for Drake, this is going to be an epic summer.
