After a historic season, the Sacramento Kings will look to improve their rotation this offseason. Here are three players who likely will not be back.

The Sacramento Kings emerged as one of the best stories in the NBA this season. The franchise, which had not made the playoffs since 2006, became an overnight powerhouse.

The Kings marched to the third-best record in the Western Conference while posting the highest single-season offensive rating in NBA history (119.4).

Despite a first-round exit, the future looks bright in Sacramento. They have two All-Stars under 30 in De’Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis, and recent first-round picks Keegan Murray and Davion Mitchell have immense upside.

As the Kings look to improve their roster this offseason, here are three players who likely will not be back.

Kings who won’t be back next season: 3. Matthew Dellavedova

After playing one season in Australia, the former NBA champion signed a one-year contract with the Kings last summer.

Dellavedova appeared in 32 games, averaging 1.5 points and 1.3 assists in 6.7 minutes per game. He shot 34.0 percent from the field and 33.3 percent from 3. In March, he fractured his finger and missed the remainder of the season.

The 32-year-old veteran was not a vital piece of the team’s on-the-court success. With only 15 roster spots, the Kings will likely look for a new third-string point guard.
