The New Orleans Pelicans are surging at the moment, moving up to the No. 8 spot in the Western Conference, and they could climb even higher if they beat the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday.
Los Angeles will have Kawhi Leonard in the lineup on the second night of a back-to-back, a huge lift for the team after losing to Memphis on Friday.
With that in mind, how should we attack the prop market? There are three plays that I love for this game:
Clippers vs. Pelicans best NBA prop bets
- C.J. McCollum OVER 2.5 3-Pointers Made
- Russell Westbrook OVER 11.5 Assists and Rebounds
- Brandon Ingram OVER 39.5 Points, Rebounds and Assists
C.J. McCollum OVER 2.5 3-Pointers Made
C.J. McCollum is hot from deep right now, hitting three or more shots from beyond the arc in five straight games and seven of his last eight.
The Pelicans are allowing McCollum to hunt his shot with Brandon Ingram running the offense, and he’s shooting nearly 40.0 percent from 3 on the season and 44.8 percent from 3 in the month of March, averaging over three makes per game.
Russell Westbrook OVER 11.5 Assists and Rebounds
Russell Westbrook has been volatile as a scorer at times, but he’s going to stuff the stat sheet, especially the assist column, with Paul George out of the lineup.
Since George went down, Westbrook has tallied assists and rebounds numbers of nine, eight, 15, 14 and 15 in five games.
As a Clipper, Westbrook is averaging 7.7 assists and 4.9 rebounds per game, which would put him above his 11.5 assists and rebounds prop tonight.
Russ has three games with double-digit assists in a row, so the floor for him in this prop is higher than oddsmakers are making it out to be. I love the OVER.
Brandon Ingram OVER 39.5 Points, Rebounds and Assists
Brandon Ingram is playing some of the best basketball of his career, averaging 28.8 points, 6.2 rebounds and 8.0 assists per game over his last nine games.
Ingram earned Western Conference Player of the Week honors, and he’s cleared this PRA line in six of those nine games, landing on exactly 39 PRA once.
Los Angeles is in the second night of a back-to-back after getting dominated by the Memphis Grizzlies, so I love this matchup for Ingram.
He’s had the ball in his hands a ton and is commanding the Pelicans’ offense, picking up a triple-double in his last game. Go OVER on any number short of 40 for this prop.
