Ahead of Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals, the NBA announced some honors for some of the league’s top players.

On Tuesday, the NBA announced their All-NBA teams. The First Team is headlined by Giannis Antetokounmpo, Luka Doncic, NBA MVP Nikola Jokic, Devin Booker and Jayson Tatum. The Celtics star has now made the First Team for the first time in his NBA career.

For those curious about he voting, the NBA Communications Twitter account posted the results.

It was a close call for Jokic, as he barely edged out Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid for the center spot on the First Team by a 476-414. Jokic also held off Embiid to win the NBA MVP award for the 2021-22 season.

Tatum only made the All-NBA Third Team in 2020. After averaging 26.9 points, 8.0 rebounds and 4.4 assists while posting a field goal percentage of 45.3-percent and playing a role in the Celtics reaching the Eastern Conference Finals, Tatum makes the First-Team.

There is some significant news to talk about regarding the All-NBA Teams. Booker and Karl-Anthony Towns, who made the Third Team, are now eligible for supermax contract extensions. Atlanta Hawks star Trae Young, who also made the Third Team, is eligible for a 30-percent max extension, per ESPN’s Tim Bontemps.

As always, there is going to be debate as to whether the All-NBA Teams got it right, or if there were mistakes made. What do you think?
