Denver Nuggets, Golden State Warriors

Draymond Green explained his post-game exchange with Nikola Jokic

Draymond Green and Nikola Jokic shared a special moment after the Golden State Warriors eliminated the Nuggets from the playoffs.

As expected, the Golden State Warriors are moving on in the playoffs. Golden State recorded a 4-1 series win over Denver, wrapping things up on Wednesday night. After that victory, Draymond Green and Nikola Jokic were seen on the hardwood showing each other major respect.

For Green, he looks at Jokic as one of the toughest dudes in the game. In his post-game presser, Green continued to show the Denver standout an incredible amount of love.

Draymond Green has nothing but respect for Nikola Jokic

“I told him thank you for making me better,” Green said. “It’s an honor and a pleasure to play someone so skilled. Usually when you have guys that talented and skilled they’re soft. And he’s far, far from soft.”

That’s a glowing review right there from Green on Jokic. At the same time, people believe Green is also taking a shot at some of the other big names in the game, but no one can quite put their finger on who.

Regardless of that, Green didn’t mince words here and Jokic surely has the same kind of admiration for him as well. These two are great competitors, which was showcased throughout the five games they went to battle in the postseason.

Moving forward, the Warriors have their eyes on another trip to the NBA Finals and Green will play a big role in that. Unfortunately for Jokic, he’ll be forced to watch the rest of the playoffs from home.
