It’s probably safe to say that Jimmy Butler, Udonis Haslem, and the rest of the Miami Heat aren’t all that thrilled right now.
Fighting with a teammate isn’t exactly an activity that most people would recommend. Generally, that indicates that something very wrong is happening in that moment.
With that said, the Miami Heat are apparently interested in unconventional team building exercises because Jimmy Butler, Udonis Haslem, and Erik Spoelstra all decided to get very heated and scream very loudly and subsequently had to be separated.
That’s not exactly great!
It’s one thing if Butler, Haslem, and Spoelstra weren’t members of the same organization, but it’s exceptionally awful because they’re on the same team. You need to check these videos out.
Maybe that one particular camera angle just made things look bad. Maybe another one would make it look less awful? Would getting a video that adds a little more context make the situation look better?
Well, uh, nope. Still bad!
Miami Heat: Jimmy Butler and Udonis Haslem separated after nearly fighting on sideline
Are you interested in something that is simultaneously great and awful? Here’s Spoelstra, the head coach of the Heat, throwing his clipboard on the floor with a ton of energy.
Take a look at that throw again. It’s remarkable!
This situation is far from ideal for Miami and it’s disappointing to see a team that was so close to a championship in 2020 fall so far. With the talent that he has, Butler is the key to this team having long-term success and he’s the guy this team needs to be built around. However, Spoelstra is the head coach and Haslem has been a longtime presence for the Heat. They all bring some very important elements of a successful team to the table.
If these guys aren’t able to work together right now, they need to find a way to do it sooner rather than later.
