Celtics fans troll Kyrie Irving during Jayson Tatum’s 50-point day

Boston Celtics fans still clearly have a bunch of hate for Kyrie Irving and they made him know all about it on Sunday.

The Boston Celtics and Brooklyn Nets treated NBA fans to an incredible showdown on Sunday. In the end, Boston was able to come away with a 126-120 win, no question sending a statement to the rest of the Eastern Conference.

For Kyrie Irving, it was another trip to Boston to forget, as fans let him have it throughout the contest. With Jayson Tatum finishing with 54 points, the Boston supporters were showering him with love, while reminding Irving that they don’t miss him in town.

Boston fans continue to troll Kyrie Irving whenever they can

Irving heard those chants and he couldn’t help but smile and shake his head. Tatum and other Celtics players were trying to get the fans to quiet down a bit while Jaylen Brown was at the free-throw line, but those efforts didn’t work.

Celtics fans made matters worse on social media.

The chants only got louder and people were having a blast in the stands. Tatum was brilliant in the win, while Irving had to settle for a 19-point performance. Kevin Durant scored a team-high 37 points for Brooklyn, but it was nowhere close to enough to help the Nets record a win.

These two teams don’t like one another, and the rivalry seems to get better with each game. At this point, Irving pretty much has to expect for Celtics fans to hit him with plenty of boos and savage chants whenever he makes his way to the city.

He’ll be able to keep laughing things off, but he’ll also hope to shut people up with some big games down the road too. It’d be sweet if Brooklyn and Boston were to meet in the playoffs. There’d be plenty of drama in that series.
