Steph Curry got booed relentlessly in Cleveland at All-Star Game

Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry did not receive a warm welcome in Cleveland for the 2022 NBA All-Star Game.

Cleveland is the host city for the 2022 NBA All-Star Game. Former Cavaliers star LeBron James received a hero’s welcome in his return to the city, and current players on the roster Darius Garland and Jarrett Allen also received great ovations. Then, there was Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry.

Ever since touching down in Cleveland for the All-Star Game, Curry has been booed every time he was introduced to the crowd. During the pre-game introductions for the All-Star Game, Curry was booed relentlessly by the crowd in Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse, but he had some fun with it.

Curry was not the only one who was booed by Cleveland fans. Draymond Green also heard jeers from the crowd. During the Inside the NBA alternate broadcast, Green threw some shade at the city of Cleveland.

The Warriors were the Cavaliers’ greatest foes this past decade. When James returned to Cleveland for his second tenure, they made it to the NBA Finals ever single season. Their opponents were the Warriors. In their four NBA Finals meetings, Golden State hoisted the Larry O’Brien Trophy three times.

Yet, the Cavaliers will forever remember the 2016 NBA Finals, where they overcame a 3-1 series deficit to defeat the Warriors in seven games. As a result, they won their first NBA Championship in franchise history.

As the All-Star Game showed, Cavaliers fans will never cheer Curry, even if he is on Team LeBron.
