Watch: Drake and Kyle Lowry play one-on-one at Miami Heat arena

Miami Heat star Kyle Lowry played some one-on-one basketball with rap star Drake at the FTX Arena.

Long before he joined the Miami Heat this past season, Kyle Lowry was a mainstay for the Toronto Raptors. He brought the city its first NBA championship and made a ton of friends along the way. One of them is award-winning rapper and Raptors global ambassador Drake.

Even though Lowry is part of the Heat, video surfaced of him playing a game of one-on-one with Drake inside an empty FTX Arena in Miami. The video comes courtesy of the 2Cool2Blog Twitter account.

Lowry joined Toronto in 2012 after beginning his career with the Memphis Grizzlies and Houston Rockets. He became one of the faces of the Raptors franchise during his nine years with the team. He was named to the All-Star team six times and helped win the Larry O’Brien trophy in 2019, the year the Raptors went all-in by acquiring Kawhi Leonard from the San Antonio Spurs.

In his nine years in Toronto, Lowry averaged 17.5 points, 7.1 assists and 4.9 rebounds while recording a field goal percentage of 42.5 and a three-point percentage of 37.7.

This past offseason, Lowry signed a three-year, $90 million contract with the Heat in a sign-and-trade with the Raptors.
