The Boston Celtics are one of the most iconic franchises in sports. They have 17 NBA championships to their name, tied with the Los Angeles Lakers for most all-time. They are only behind the New York Yankees and Montreal Canadiens for most championships in sports. That legacy is appealing to aging legends who might be looking to bank another title.

It hasn’t been as good to be a Celtics fan as of late. They only have one championship this century. The days of Bill Russell and Larry Bird seem long gone, but their legacy remains.
