Bam Adebayo responds to Jimmy Butler’s comments with game-winner vs. Nets (Video)

Miami Heat standout Bam Adebayo came up huge for the Miami Heat on Sunday by drilling a buzzer-beater to take down the Brooklyn Nets.

There is simply no one happier for Miami Heat star Bam Adebayo right now than Jimmy Butler. With the game on the line against the Brooklyn Nets, Adebayo, with ice in his veins, drilled the game-winning shot as time expired. This one was one of the best games of the season.

With the two Eastern Conference powerhouses doing battle, Adebayo truly came up huge in the clutch. And this came shortly after Butler came out and said he wanted his teammate to be more aggressive with the ball in his hands. Adebayo surely delivered.

Bam Adebayo’s buzzer-beater will fire up Heat fans across the country

Adebayo wanted the ball in his hands for that last shot and he delivered in the best way possible. With all the confidence in the world, he fired up a shot and it found the bottom of the cotton. Ball game, Miami wins.

“He lets people off the hook. Play bully ball,” Butler said of Adebayo earlier this week.

With Butler getting frustrated, he didn’t hesitate in saying what he wanted to see more of from Adebayo and calling the Heat “soft.” So, how did the big man answer? By taking a couple of dribbles, driving toward the paint and firing up a beautiful jumper to win the game.

How’s that for bully ball, Mr. Butler? On top of that, Adebayo was a beast on the defensive end as well:

With the win, Miami is now 29-28 on the year and in seventh place of the Eastern Conference standings. Despite their inconsistency, Sunday was a fresh reminder that no one is going to want to face the Heat in the postseason.

Butler lit a match under some of his teammates, and they’ve stepped up — no one more so than Adebayo.
