Rockets fans are getting revenge on James Harden in the best way

After James Harden orchestrated his way to the Brooklyn Nets, Houston Rockets fans got revenge by giving bad reviews to his unopened restaurant.

Following the Houston Rockets‘ 117-100 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers, James Harden sat at the podium to say that the team was “not good enough,” and the situation couldn’t be fixed before departing to the locker room. Less than 24 hours later, the Rockets traded the disgruntled star to the Brooklyn Nets in a deal that also involved the Indiana Pacers and Cleveland Cavaliers.

Harden didn’t exactly endear himself to Rockets fans with his postgame comments, and they weren’t thrilled that he was essentially rewarded with a trade to the Nets. So, they decided to get some revenge on the superstar by posting negative reviews about Harden’s unopened restaurant, Thirteen, on Yelp.

Rockets’ way of getting back at Harden

This is an absolutely savage response by Rockets fans. As you can read in the tweets above, they even made references to Harden’s game in the reviews.

It’s important to note that Thirteen isn’t scheduled to open until Jan. 22. Even though Harden won’t be hanging around Houston and is set to move to Brooklyn, the fine-dining restaurant will still open without him.

Harden’s exit from the Rockets has been expected for quite some time. Even trading guard Russell Westbrook to the Washington Wizards in exchange for John Wall wasn’t enough to keep Harden interested in staying. Things really reached it’s boiling point after Harden’s postgame comments, which angered now-former teammate DeMarcus Cousins.

The Rockets did make out like bandits by moving the disinterested star. They acquired Victor Oladipo, Rodions Kurucs, Dante Exum, four unprotected first-round picks from the Nets (Brooklyn’s 2022, 2024, 2026 and a 2022 from the Milwaukee Bucks) and four unprotected first-round pick swaps (2021, 2023, 2025 and 2027) in the blockbuster four-team trade.

Maybe time will heal all wounds. But now, the Rockets faithful are letting Harden know how they truly feel about him at the expense of his restaurant’s star rating on Yelp.
