The biggest winner of Raptors-Celtics Game 6 was Basketball Twitter

The Boston Celtics and Toronto Raptors turned in a classic on Wednesday, and we still have one more game left in the series.

To say that Game 6 of the Celtics-Raptors series was a classic is to understate basically everything that happened. It was that good.

We’ve been enjoying playoff basketball since the bubble brought it back into our lives, but Game 6 was truly a capital-P Playoff Performance by all involved. From the Celtics clawing back in a game they needed to put the Raptors away, to Kyle Lowry reminding us just how damn good he can be, to Norman Powell having himself a moment in double-overtime.

We needed six quarters to find out that we’d need a seventh game to decide the Celtics-Raptors series, but what we saw on Wednesday night will go down as one of the best things we’ve seen in a good long while.

Basketball Twitter was built for moments like Game 6, and it did not disappoint.

Toronto has battled back in a series that many thought Boston would have closed out by now, but the defending champs aren’t done yet. Lowry went for 33-points in Game 6 but his last were perhaps the most crucial. Powell finished with 23-points, but it was the swaggering bare-knuckled brawler bravado of the Raptors that proved to be the difference.

Each time the Celtics seemed like they were about to finally pull away, the Raptors picked themselves back up and delivered a body blow. That eventually put the Celtics down, and now we’ll get to see in Game 7 who delivers the knockout blow.
