The Heat and Knicks are back at it for Game 3 of its second round series against one another on Saturday afternoon tied at one game a piece.
You can check out our full betting preview on the total here, but this article is going to hit on player prop for Jimmy Butler, Josh Hart and Gabe Vincent. Butler sat out of Game 2 with an ankle injury, but that appeared to be more rest-related as he will now have five full days off to recover.
Meanwhile, Hart has been a key cog to the Knicks postseason run, but is there a way to play against him? The same can be said for Vincent, who was huge for the Heat in both games in New York, can he keep it up now at home?
We break that all down and more with our favorite prop bets.
Best NBA prop bets for Knicks vs. Heat
- Jimmy Butler OVER 6.5 Rebounds (-125)
- Josh Hart UNDER 3.5 Assists (-113)
- Gabe Vincent OVER 2.5 Three Pointers Made (-120)
Jimmy Butler OVER 6.5 Rebounds
Butler isn’t confirmed in for Saturday’s Game 3, but based on the fact that reports indicated that he was at shootaround on Tuesday for Game 2 and he was on the sideline without a boot, I am bullish he is going to play.
Assuming he is close to 100%, Butler should help the Heat on the glass, where New York outrebounded Miami 50-34 in Game 2.
Butler is one of the team’s best rebounders, he is averaging 12.2 rebound chances per game this postseason, but he is averaging just 6.8 per game. However, when Butler plays more than 40 minutes, he has averaged over eight (four games).
I think Butler makes a difference on the glass and grabs seven-plus boards in the process.
Josh Hart UNDER 3.5 Assists
I think it’s time to sell high on Hart’s assist mark, something he has gone over in the past two despite falling short of them in the prior five. Maybe the Heat matchup opens up assist opportunities for the Knicks wing, but with a potential assists mark of just five, there’s not much wiggle room for him to get over this total.
Gabe Vincent OVER 2.5 Three Pointers Made
Vincent has stepped up in a big way this postseason with Tyler Herro and Victor Oladipo suffering injuries during the first round and Butler missing Game 2. The guard is shooting 40% from three on a staggering eight attempts from beyond the arc and I like him to clear his three-point prop once again at home in Game 3.
