Best NBA prop bets today for Suns vs. Clippers (Deandre Ayton dominates again)

The Phoenix Suns bounced back in a big way in Game 2 on Tuesday night, and they are now tied at one game apiece with the Los Angeles Clippers in the first round of the playoffs.

This series is filled with star power, making it one of the more fun matchups to bet in the prop market. I have a trio of plays that I like for Thursday’s Game 3 in Los Angeles, including two different 3-point props.

Suns vs. Clippers best NBA prop bets

  • Devin Booker UNDER 2.5 3-Pointers Made
  • Eric Gordon OVER 2.5 3-Pointers Made
  • Deandre Ayton to Record a Double-Double

Devin Booker UNDER 2.5 3-Pointers Made

Don’t overreact to Devin Booker’s big 3-point shooting performance in Game 2.

Prior to that showing Booker had cleared 2.5 made 3s in just one other game since March 11. On top of that, he had failed to hit a single shot from deep in his three previous playoff games.

Booker prefers to do his work in the midrange, and if the Clippers continue to play drop coverage on screen-and-roll action, the Suns should have problem letting Booker and Chris Paul get to their spots in the midrange to hit shots.

Eric Gordon OVER 2.5 3-Pointers Made

Eric Gordon has seen a ton of volume from beyond the arc in this series, taking 16 3-pointers through the first two games, hitting seven of them.

Now, Gordon gets to head back home for the Clips after clearing this number in each of his first two games of the series.

At plus money, Gordon is a value to go OVER this number if he’s going to attempt 7+ shots from deep per night.

Deandre Ayton to Record a Double-Double

Deandre Ayton was great in Game 2 for the Suns, scoring 14 points on 7-of-10 shooting and grabbing 13 rebounds. Phoenix was an impressive +15 in his 32 minutes.

The key for Phoenix in this series may be Ayton’s ability to clear the glass, as the Clippers have gotten a ton of second chances through the first two games.

He answered the call with 13 boards in Game 2, and I think there’s value on him to do it again in Game 3. Ayton averaged 18.0 points and 10.0 rebounds per game in the regular season, and Monty Williams clearly is going to play him as much as he can in this series.

Ayton played 32 minutes despite sitting the final eight minutes of the third quarter after picking up his fourth foul. I love him to get at least 10 and 10 on Thursday.

Game odds refresh periodically and are subject to change.
