The NBA playoffs are about to begin with the regular season officially over. Let’s take a look at the full first-round schedule for each series.
The NBA regular season has reached its end, and now, it’s playoff time.
16 teams will battle for a chance to be hoist the Larry O’Brien trophy, but they will have to get through the gauntlet that is the playoffs. That journey officially begins on Saturday, Apr. 15, but first, the NBA play-in tournament will determine the No. 7 and 8 seeds in both the Eastern and Western Conferences. Besides that, the postseason matchups are officially set.
First, let’s look at the first-round matchups in the Eastern Conference:
- No. 1 Milwaukee Bucks (58-24) vs. No. 8 TBD
- No. 2 Boston Celtics (57-25) vs. No. 7 TBD
- No. 3 Philadelphia 76ers (54-28) vs. No. 6 Brooklyn Nets (45-37)
- No. 4 Cleveland Cavaliers (51-31) vs. No. 5 New York Knicks (47-35)
Now, here are the first-round matchups in the Western Conference:
- No. 1 Denver Nuggets (53-29) vs. No. 8 TBD
- No. 2 Memphis Grizzlies (51-31) vs. No. 7 TBD
- No. 3 Sacramento Kings (48-34) vs. No. 6 Golden State Warriors (44-38)
- No. 4 Phoenix Suns (45-37) vs. No. 5 Los Angeles Clippers (44-38)
