Best NBA prop bets for Pelicans vs. Nuggets (Trey Murphy III stays hot)

The Denver Nuggets have a magic number of three to clinch the top seed in the Western Conference, but they’re taking on a feisty New Orleans Pelicans team that is looking to make the play-in tournament in the West.

Nikola Jokic, Denver’s MVP candidate, is listed as questionable for this game, which can make it tough to bet on certain props for Denver, especially scoring the ball.

Trey Murphy OVER 2.5 3-Pointers Made

Murphy is shooting the lights out right now, making three or more shots from beyond the arc in eight of his last 10 games.

The key has been the usage for Murphy, as he’s averaging 8.8 3-point attempts per game over his last 14 contests, making an average of 4.1 shots from deep per game in that stretch.

The Pelicans win is shooting over 46.0 percent from 3 in those games, so as long as he sees the looks tonight, he should go OVER this number.

Aaron Gordon UNDER 9.5 Assists and Rebounds

Usually I am a proponent for the OVER on this prop for Gordon, but he has really cooled off as of late, grabbing fewer than 9.5 rebounds and assists in eight of his last 10 games.

On the season, Gordon is averaging 6.5 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game, which is slightly below this number, and he has a tough matchup on the glass tonight.

New Orleans ranks fifth in the NBA in rebounding percentage, and I expect Gordon to draw the defensive assignment on Brandon Ingram which should take him away from the basket in this game.

Take the UNDER until Gordon starts hitting the glass at a higher rate.
