Team LeBron vs. Team Giannis prediction, odds, pick, rosters, draft format for 2023 NBA All-Star Game

The 2023 NBA All-Star Game tips off on Sunday night, and we have a new format with this year’s draft.

The players won’t be picked to their teams until right up before the game, doing an actual draft unlike the televised drafts from previous seasons.

LeBron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo are the two captains for this game, and there are tons of stars that will be in action.

The All-Star Game is full of highlights and high-flying action, but how should we bet on the matchup without knowing the rosters?

2023 NBA All-Star Game draft format

The NBA All-Star Game draft format will take place before the game in a pickup-game style draft.

Captains LeBron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo will start by selecting reserves for their teams before transitioning into the starters.

The teams can feature players from both conferences. This is different from previous seasons when the draft was held well before the All-Star Game took place.

The elam ending format makes it a little tougher to target a total since there will be a target score set once the fourth quarter begins, but history tells us that this game may not be as high-scoring as the total suggests

Since we don’t have the rosters of either team until closer to game time, I’m not comfortable betting on a side, especially since Antetokounmpo (wrist) is questionable to play in the game.

I don’t want to lay the points with a James-led team just yet, depending on who he selects for his squad.

Over the last 10 years, the ASG has cleared 325.5 points just three times, and it hasn’t cleared it in either of the seasons with an elam ending.

With James (foot) and Giannis (wrist) banged up, we could see some of the reserves get a little more run in this game. The key is going to be the start, so if this game gets off to a low-scoring pace early, there’s also a chance you’d be able to hedge this UNDER bet as well.

Game odds refresh periodically and are subject to change.
